Hospital Quality Improvement Consultant

Our client is seeking a Hospital Quality Improvement Consultant to support acute care hospitals and healthcare systems in improving patient outcomes, operational performance, and regulatory compliance across multiple states. This role works closely with hospital leadership, quality departments, clinical teams, and operational stakeholders to evaluate workflows, analyze quality data, identify performance gaps, and support process improvement initiatives. Required qualifications Bachelor’s degree in nursing, public health, healthcare administration, or related field 3+ years of experience in hospital quality, patient safety, clinical operations, or acute care environments Experience with hospital quality metrics, regulatory compliance, or accreditation standards Familiarity with root cause analysis, process mapping, PDSA, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies Ability to analyze EHR data, quality dashboards, and performance metrics Strong communication and collaboration skills across interdisciplinary teams Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities Preferred backgrounds Hospital Quality Coordinator Patient Safety Specialist Clinical Quality Manager Performance Improvement Specialist Infection Preventionist Risk Management or Accreditation Leader Lean/Six Sigma Professional Day-to-day responsibilities Analyze hospital quality metrics, workflows, and operational performance data Support initiatives related to readmissions, patient safety, throughput, infection prevention, and clinical outcomes Assist hospitals with regulatory readiness and accreditation support Guide providers on process improvement initiatives and best practices Monitor performance trends and support ongoing quality improvement activities Collaborate with clinical and operational teams across multiple provider organizations Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with employer contribution Generous PTO and paid holidays Remote-first work environment Friday schedules ending at noon All travel expenses covered for required meetings Culture This organization is known for its collaborative and mission-driven environment.
