This role is responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, operating system, storage, and file system issues while supporting engineering and business operations. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver with strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on technical support for engineering systems, workstations, storage devices, and related equipment.Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues.Install, configure, maintain, and support Windows, Mac OS, and Linux-based systems.Assist with system imaging, software deployments, upgrades, and patch management.Support and troubleshoot file systems, storage configurations, and RAID environments.Document technical issues, solutions, procedures, and best practices.Work with cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and resolve technical challenges.Follow established processes and procedures while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.Provide excellent customer service and technical assistance to internal stakeholders.Maintain equipment inventory and ensure proper handling of technical assets.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.Adhere to all safety, security, and compliance requirements.Required SkillsDemonstrated problem-solving and analytical troubleshooting skills.Experience working independently with minimal supervision while effectively contributing as part of a team.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.Experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems.Experience supporting Apple Mac OS.Experience supporting Linux operating systems.Basic understanding of file systems, including: FAT, NTFS, HFS, APFS, and EXT.Basic understanding of RAID technologies, including: RAID 0 and RAID 1.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Technical Troubleshooting.Problem Solving.Customer Focus.Attention to Detail.Communication Skills.Teamwork and Collaboration.Adaptability.Time Management.Initiative and Accountability.Preferred SkillsExperience supporting engineering labs, testing environments, or technical operations.Familiarity with storage systems and data management concepts.Experience documenting technical procedures and troubleshooting guides.Knowledge of hardware diagnostics and system performance analysis.CompTIA (Net, Security), CISSP, Microsoft 365 certification, CEH, and CHFI.AWS certification.Education RequirementsAssociate degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Required ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of hands-on technical experience supporting engineering, IT, or related technical environments.Work Environment / Physical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, and work at a computer workstation for extended periods.Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, reaching, and handling technical equipment.BenefitsMedical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401k Retirement FundAbout the ClientThis leading data storage provider is committed to innovation, delivering cutting-edge storage solutions across the technology sector.
