Maintenance Mechanic

This role plays an important part in maintaining equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and ensuring a safe production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment breakdowns involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsTear down, rebuild, repair, and replace defective equipment components, including motors, gearboxes, clutches, bearings, and electrical componentsPerform equipment changeovers and production line setupsAssist line workers with changeovers and improve changeover proceduresSet up fill lines for production runsRepair and maintain production machinery and related equipmentDismantle defective equipment and install new or repaired partsTroubleshoot equipment issues and make necessary adjustmentsWork from prints, schematics, wiring diagrams, machine manuals, preventive maintenance sheets, and other maintenance instructionsFollow and promote all safety policies and procedures, including PPE requirementsAssist supervisors with production line operations as neededWork effectively with employees at all levels, both independently and as part of a teamParticipate in special projects, meetings, and other assigned dutiesEquipment ExperienceExperience with industrial packaging and production equipment is preferred, including:Carton erectors and sealersLiquid fillersCase packersPalletizersCappersConveyorsLabelersProduction and filling linesBlow molding equipmentUniloy or Bekum blow molding experience is a plus.Qualifications3+ years of industrial/mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong mechanical troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systemsKnowledge of gearboxes and cam-type equipmentWorking knowledge of electrical systems, including AC 480–120V and DC/low-voltage controlsAbility to read and work from electrical schematics and wiring diagramsStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilitiesAbility to provide basic mechanic's hand toolsAbility to work overtime and weekends as neededAbility to lift and move approximately 40–60 lbsAbility to remain on your feet for approximately 80–90% of the shiftAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentSelf-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervisionAvailable Shifts2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday–Friday3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Monday–FridayOvertime as needed. xhyhwjd If you have the technical experience and troubleshooting skills to keep production equipment running safely and efficiently, we encourage you to apply.
