Job Summary Processes member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner, including verifying, renewing and upgrading membership products, scanning merchandise, and accepting various forms of payment. Provides excellent member service in an efficient and productive manner. Maintains the overall cleanliness of the front-line department. Work with commitment and pride to deliver GOLD- Grand opening look daily Ensure items stocked and promotional plans executed Maintain visible accurate signage Keep the area clean and organized inside and out Know Your Business Understand how to access and read production and financial performance reporting for your department See the connection between consistent execution and its positive impact on the business Major Tasks, Responsibilities, And Key Accountabilities Exhibits understanding of BJ’s Membership options, including renewals and BJ’s Loyalty programs Offer membership products such as renewal options and Rewards redemption Provide high level customer service to Members; check out efficiently Scan merchandise through POS to ensure accurate inventory counts and totals; assist at self-checkout Collect payments via cash, check, or other methods; issue receipts Stay up to date on promotions and product information; apply coupons Maintain cleanliness of the frontline area and assist with general club housekeeping Return re-sellable merchandise to sales floor Manage self-checkout lanes; assist members with operations and technical issues Meet cashier productivity expectations Maintain all club policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function Qualifications Basic math skills preferred Prior cashier or sales experience preferred Environmental Job Conditions Mostly indoors with frequent movement on hard surfaces; may require bending, reaching, and lifting Frequently lifts up to 30 pounds; may require lifting more with assistance Indoor environment with occasional exposure to cleaning agents In accordance with Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position.
