Job Title: Senior BI / Data Platform Engineer Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid, minimum 3 days onsite) Duration: Contract - 12 months Pay Range: Pay Rate: $68.25/hr. Job Description We are seeking a Senior Application Programmer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Business Intelligence platforms, data warehousing, ETL orchestration, and SQL development and a proven ability to design and optimize scalable BI solutions that meet enterprise reporting and governance standards .

• Design and architect BI platforms, including scalable data warehouses, ETL pipelines, and analytics solutions for enterprise reporting.
• Implement data validation, quality checks, observability, and governance-aligned controls.
• Automate workflows using scripting and optimize platform performance and reliability.
• Manage and enhance ETL and data pipelines, troubleshoot issues, improve performance, and oversee cross-source data reconciliation.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective data and analytics solutions.
• Coordinate with engineering and analytics teams to manage dependencies and deliver high-quality outputs.

• Business Intelligence tools: Tableau, Cognos, Alteryx.
• Databases: Oracle and/or Vertica.
• Strong SQL development and performance tuning.
• ETL tools and data pipeline orchestration.
• CI/CD practices for data and analytics delivery.
• Autosys job scheduling.
• Operating systems: Windows and Linux.

• Python for automation and data tooling.
• Server administration and Unix fundamentals.
• Batch processing and PowerShell scripting.

• Business Intelligence: Tableau, Alteryx, Cognos.
• Databases: Oracle, Vertica.
• Advanced SQL.

• Clear communication and stakeholder collaboration.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently and deliver under defined timelines.

• Round 1: Webex or virtual interview with 2-3 interviewers, including technical and hiring manager.
• Round 2: Technical deep dive with team lead, virtual or onsite.
• Round 3: Final discussion with leadership and stakeholders.

Additional Details: Senior-level role. Not open to junior candidates. Start: ASAP. Expect start within 2-4 weeks after offer. Specific start date compliance required due to business needs. Approved work location: Jersey City, NJ - NJ2-525-18-01. Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days onsite per week. Glider Candidate ID Verification required. Rate exception submissions up to $115.00 allowed without pre-approval. Final approvals still required above $96.93 at time of offer. Note requested rate on resume as permitted by Fieldglass.
