Lead a Brand-New Hilton Property from Day OneWestern States Lodging & Management is seeking an accomplished hospitality leader to serve as General Manager of the brand-new Home2 Suites by Hilton in Sparks, Nevada. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a new-build extended-stay hotel from its opening and play a critical role in establishing the property's culture, operational standards, guest experience, and financial performance.As General Manager, you will have the opportunity to build a high-performing team, establish strong operating processes, develop relationships throughout the Reno-Sparks market, and position the hotel for long-term success. This position participates in our compensation program, which provides opportunities for future pay growth based on performance and career development.401(k) with a dollar-for-dollar company match up to 4%Hotel discounts at select Western States Lodging & Management propertiesEligible full-time associates are entitled to the following:Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance plans plus Health Savings Account (HSA) optionsOptional supplemental benefits, including accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and other coverage options.Personal Time Off (PTO) and Vacation benefitsWhat You'll DoProvide full operational and financial leadership for the Home2 Suites by Hilton, with accountability for revenue, profitability, guest satisfaction, and overall property performanceLead the successful opening and stabilization of the new-build hotel, establishing operating procedures, service standards, and team expectationsDevelop and manage annual budgets, capital plans, forecasts, and financial strategiesMonitor P&L performance, identify trends and opportunities, and implement strategies to achieve revenue, GOP, and NOI goalsPartner with sales and revenue management teams to develop strategies that maximize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and market shareDirect all aspects of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, breakfast, maintenance, and guest servicesEnsure compliance with Hilton brand standards, company policies, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulationsEstablish a strong service culture and ensure guests consistently receive an exceptional extended-stay experienceProtect and enhance the physical asset through proactive maintenance, preventive programs, capital planning, and effective vendor managementRecruit, train, develop, and retain a high-performing hotel teamEstablish clear performance expectations, accountability measures, and development plans for department leaders and associatesLead and mentor department heads while building a strong leadership pipeline and succession readinessConduct regular leadership and associate meetings to communicate goals, address challenges, and maintain team engagementDevelop relationships with local businesses, community organizations, corporate accounts, and other strategic partners throughout the Sparks and Reno marketServe as the primary liaison to ownership and regional and corporate leadershipProvide timely and accurate reporting on operational, financial, sales, and guest satisfaction performanceMaintain strong relationships with vendors, business partners, and community stakeholdersOversee emergency preparedness, risk management, safety programs, and compliance initiativesIdentify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, strengthen profitability, and elevate the overall guest experienceWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent hospitality experience will be consideredAt least 2 years of progressive hotel leadership experience, preferably as a General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or senior hotel operations leaderExperience with Hilton or another major hotel brand strongly preferredExperience with extended-stay hospitality is a plusDemonstrated success managing hotel financial performance, revenue strategy, and operating resultsStrong understanding of hotel P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting, and cost controlsExperience leading, hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing hospitality teamsStrong knowledge of hotel operations, brand standards, guest service, and regulatory complianceFamiliarity with property management systems and hotel accounting platformsProficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and leverage hotel technology systemsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and relationship-building abilitiesProfessional presence and the ability to confidently represent the hotel with ownership, associates, guests, and community partnersA hands-on, entrepreneurial leadership style with the ability to build processes and culture in a new property environmentAbility to balance financial accountability with a strong commitment to people and guest serviceWhy This Opportunity Is DifferentOpening a new hotel is a rare opportunity for a General Manager.
