CHARGE RN - Surgical Trauma PCU/Burn, Full-time, 7P

Charge RN – Surgical Trauma PCU/Critical Care & Burn Unit – Full-time, Nights Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104 Work hours: Full-time, Night shift. Positions require 12‑hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays. Team members may be placed on call for regularly scheduled shifts in response to census fluctuations. Department Highlights Justin 5 is a 35‑bed Surgical Trauma Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Burn Unit. The unit will open on August 10 with 18 surgical trauma PCU beds and 9 burn beds, with plans to expand to the full 35 beds later in the year. This unit provides higher‑acuity surgical trauma and burn care, including treatment in a dedicated hydrotherapy procedure room for the burn population. Although patient populations differ, this is one integrated unit, and staff are expected to work across both care areas. MAGNET facility Level I Trauma Center Primary Heart Attack Center (PHAC) The department prides itself in high‑performing staff with excellent critical thinking skills Self‑scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team Nurse‑to‑patient ratio 1: 3‑4 Here’s What You Need Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly ACLS – within 90 days of hire required TNCC or ATCN – within 12 months of hire preferred CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire

1. year experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting required
2. year experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting preferred
