Role Description This full-time Certified School Psychologist role is an on-site position located in Cobb County, GA. The school psychologist will conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional evaluations, to support student success. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with educators, families, and related service providers to develop and implement evidence-based interventions, individualized education programs (IEPs), and behavior support plans. The individual in this role will provide counseling and crisis intervention, consult on classroom management and instructional strategies, and contribute to multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and special education eligibility decisions. The school psychologist will also maintain accurate documentation, adhere to ethical and legal standards, and participate in ongoing professional development. Qualifications Strong foundation in Psychology and Mental Health to understand student behavior, learning, and social-emotional needs. Demonstrated expertise in Psychological Assessment, including standardized testing, data interpretation, and report writing. Skills in Counseling to provide individual and group support, crisis response, and consultation to students, families, and staff. Relevant knowledge of Medicine as it relates to developmental, neurological, and behavioral conditions that impact learning. Current certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of Georgia, or eligibility to obtain it. Master's or specialist degree in School Psychology or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Familiarity with special education law, IEP processes, MTSS/RTI frameworks, and evidence-based interventions. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
