Group Creative Director

Group Creative DirectorThe Group Creative Director is a senior creative leader responsible for shaping and delivering the brand's creative vision across all channels. With a strong background in art direction or design, this role leads the development of integrated, high-impact marketing campaigns that elevate brand expression and drive engagement. This leader manages and mentors a team of writers and art directors while partnering cross-functionally to align creative strategies with business priorities. This role ensures all creative output reflects the brand's standards of excellence and evolves to meet the needs of a dynamic retail environment. This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work on site Monday through Thursday at the Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You can work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location on Friday. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.What you'll doDefine and lead the overall creative direction and brand narrativeTranslate brand strategy into compelling, integrated creative executionsContinuously evolve and elevate the brand's visual and storytelling expressionLead, inspire, and develop a team of writers and art directors while providing clear creative direction, constructive feedback, and career mentorshipDeliver integrated marketing campaigns across all media channels (digital, social, print, in-store, etc.)Ensure consistency, quality, and craft across every brand touchpointBalance creativity with business objectives and performance goalsUphold and enforce brand standards to ensure a consistent and cohesive identityMaintain a high bar for creative excellence across all deliverablesPartner with internal stakeholders (marketing, merchandising, strategy, etc.) to align prioritiesLeverage creativity as a force multiplier to support broader business goalsChampion the use of customer insights to inform creative decisionsStay current on retail trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscapeApply business acumen to ensure creative work supports company performanceBasic qualifications10+ years of experience in creative roles, with a strong foundation in art direction or design5+ years of leadership experience, including managing and developing teamsProven experience in a senior creative leadership role (Creative Director, Art Director, Design Lead, or equivalent)Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing creative teamsStrong portfolio showcasing integrated campaigns and brand-building workDeep understanding of brand strategy, storytelling, and visual design principlesExperience delivering creative across multiple channels and platformsExcellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skillsPreferred qualificationsExperience in retail, e-commerce, or consumer-facing brandsBackground working in a large, matrixed organization or agency environmentStrong understanding of omnichannel marketing and customer journey mappingExperience leveraging data and customer insights to inform creative decisionsAbility to balance creative vision with business performance metricsFamiliarity with emerging technologies, digital trends, and content innovationBachelor's degree in Design, Advertising, related field (or equivalent experience)What's in it for you We're committed to helping our people thrive at work and at home.
