Perianesthesia (Pacu) Nurse

Inova Alexandria hospital is looking for an experienced Perianesthesia (PACU) Nurse. Inova's Perianesthesia RNs work pre and post op; Phase 1 and 2. This is a Full Time (4x10 hour shifts) to cover hours including 9:00 a.m.-11:30 p.m. with on call night, weekend, and holiday requirements.

The OR is equipped with 11 surgical suites. Comprehensive range of surgical specialties to include, orthopedics-total joints, sports medicine, spine, General Surgery, ENT, gynecology, urology, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery, podiatry, and maxillofacial.

RN PACU Qualifications:

• One year of critical care (ICU or ED) or PACU RN experience is required.
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate's Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required at hire; ACLS and PALS must be completed in the first 90 days.

RN PACU preferred qualifications:

• 2 or more years of PACU or critical care nursing (ICU or ED)
