Construction Health & Safety Officer On-site Construction Projects | Full-Time | Miami, Florida Job Summary Hypower, a leading electrical and utility contractor, is seeking a Construction Health & Safety Officer to support safe operations across construction projects throughout Florida. This role is responsible for enforcing safety programs, ensuring OSHA compliance, conducting training and inspections, investigating incidents, and promoting a strong safety culture on active jobsites. Key Responsibilities Lead and support jobsite safety programs and OSHA compliance. Conduct safety orientations, training sessions, toolbox talks, and safety meetings. Perform site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments. Monitor high-risk activities and ensure proper safety procedures are followed. Investigate incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions. Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation. Support PPE, equipment, and safety program compliance. Communicate safety performance and recommendations to project leadership. Required Qualifications 2+ years of construction safety experience, preferably in utility, electrical, power infrastructure, or renewable energy projects. Degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Safety Engineering, or related field. OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification (within the last 2 years). Competent Person training in Fall Protection, Confined Space, NFPA 70E, and Lockout/Tagout. Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and recordkeeping. Experience conducting safety training and site inspections. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic Procore experience. Ability to travel throughout Florida and work in outdoor construction environments.
