Job Opportunity: Assistant Professor in Dermatology

The Department of Dermatology is looking for academically inclined dermatologists and dermatopathologists to become part of our full-time faculty at the Assistant Professor level. We invite applications from board-certified and board-eligible candidates who have a keen interest in various dermatology specialties.

Our department caters to a diverse and medically intricate population in the greater Pittsburgh area, attracting patients from across Pennsylvania and neighboring states. The extensive University of Pittsburgh/UPMC campus features:

• 40 hospitals
• 800 outpatient clinical sites
• An international healthcare footprint

We operate seven clinics that offer a wide range of services, including:

• General dermatology
• Phototherapy
• Laser treatments
• Mohs micrographic surgery
• Aesthetic services
• Inpatient consultations

Our Dermatopathology unit is located on our Oakland campus and includes:

• Four full-time dermatopathologists
• Two dermatopathology fellows

We also offer a teledermatology program that provides both synchronous and asynchronous care to patients statewide, facilitating inpatient consultations and e-consults with community physicians. For those interested in research, there are opportunities for clinical studies and collaboration with both clinical and basic science colleagues on campus.
