Key Responsibilities

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Provide direct nursing care to a patient assignment of up to 5–7 patients in a Medical Surgical setting.
• Deliver care to surgical and post-operative patient populations.
• Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed.
• Document and manage patient care using the EPIC electronic medical records system.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical, Post-Op, or Stepdown nursing experience required.
• Surgical and post-operative surgical experience required.
• Active RN state license (Iowa and/or Illinois) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Must have a taxable address located more than 50 miles from the facility.
• Must not have been employed at the client facility within the last 12 months.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least one prior travel nursing contract completed.
• Comfort and demonstrated experience managing a patient-to-nurse ratio of 5–7 patients, with ratio details noted in work history.
