Licensed Master Social Worker

Rockland Children’s Psychiatric Center (RCPC) , an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting a Licensed Master Social Worker to join their children and youth inpatient Social Work Team. This position is part-time, 20 hours a week. The work schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 8-hour shifts, and one 4-hour evening shift, 3:30pm – 7:30pm, during the week. As a Licensed Master Social Worker at RCPC, you will be responsible for: Facilitating engaging and dynamic evidenced-based groups with adolescents focused on coping strategies, substance abuse, body image and self-esteem, and healthy relationships. Completing assessments for adolescents and assisting with patient surveys. Providing crisis interventions as needed. Providing coverage for other social worker groups as needed. Assisting with discharge planning and complete discharge follow-up including outreach to outpatient and residential programs. Supervising family visits as needed. Completing all required documentation in patient’s file. About RCPC: RCPC is a psychiatric hospital exclusively for children and adolescents ages 11 – 18 from the Hudson Valley Region. Located in Orangeburg, NY, RCPC provides an intensive, family-based inpatient psychiatric treatment program with the goal of returning children to their families with minimal disruption.
