Clinic Registered Nurse

Job Summary

Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Clinic Registered Nurse in an outpatient setting in Fairfield, Iowa. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care and maintaining a professional, efficient clinic environment.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with medical providers and other staff members to ensure a smooth workflow and deliver superior customer service. Responsibilities include assisting with patient care and treatment, and performing various procedures within the scope of practice as defined by the Iowa State Board of Nursing.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to patients and their families.
• Effectively assist medical providers in the care and treatment of patients.
• Perform assigned clinical procedures and duties within the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse.
• Collaborate cooperatively with other staff members to promote a smooth and efficient flow of work within the clinic.
• Contribute to maintaining a professional office image and positive patient experience.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to pass comprehensive background checks, including criminal, national/state sex offender, GSA (EPLS) Sam.gov, and OIG screenings.
• Successful completion of a 10-panel drug screen.
• Current Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certificates (Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse).
• Compliance with all pre-employment health requirements, including:
  • MMR (Mumps, Rubeola & Rubella) - 2 doses or positive titers.
  • Varicella - positive titer or 2 vaccines.
  • Polio vaccination.
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination.
  • Current Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis (TDaP) vaccination (dated within 10 years).
  • Annual Flu vaccination (required during flu season: October 1st – March 31st).
  • Negative 2-step Mantoux within 1 year or QuantiFERON Gold within 1 year (if positive, must provide proof of positive & chest x-ray results).
  • Proof of physical within 1 year.
  • Current Respiratory Fit Test.

• Experience in a physician's office setting.
