Job Description
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

This position requires an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide essential respiratory care to patients. The role involves working independently or in collaboration with a physician to administer medications, perform therapeutic modalities, and conduct diagnostic testing for the cardiopulmonary system.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and Treat Protocol Evaluations: Perform respiratory care assessments and deliver appropriate treatment protocols.
Medication Administration: Deliver medications via aerosol and metered dose inhalers as per established guidelines.
Emergency Response: Immediately respond to all Rapid Response, arrest, or STAT situations, maintaining artificial airways and administering respiratory support and cardiac compressions as needed.
Oxygen Setup and Maintenance: Set up and sustain oxygen delivery systems according to established protocols.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
Previous experience in travel assignments is preferred.
Must possess an active Michigan License.

Certifications Required

Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
Active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Active American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist Certification from The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
