Job Overview The Ohio Department of Medicaid is seeking a detail-oriented professional to be part of the ODM Budget Team. Office: Fiscal Operations. Bureau: Budget Management. Classification: Budget Analyst (PN 20038754). As a Budget Analyst, your responsibilities will include: Assisting in preparing, maintaining, analyzing, and reporting the operating budget for the agency. Recommending coding of revenue and expenditure transactions for the operating budget. Maintaining payment and receipt schedule for projected special payment cycles to monitor cash flow. Assisting in monitoring and maintaining the appropriations and re-appropriations of the agency line items. Qualifications 3 years of experience in budgeting that included fiscal analysis, management and control (e.g., probability; linear regression; multiple variable regression; computer assisted regression analysis models; trend analysis; forecasting cost‑benefit analysis). Or completion of an undergraduate core program in accounting, public finance, public administration or business administration; 12 months experience in budgeting that included fiscal analysis, management and control. Or completion of a graduate core program in accounting, public finance, public administration or business administration which included coursework in quantitative/statistical analysis. Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above. Job Skills: Accounting and Finance.
