Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job Summary:

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides patient-centered care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist in a skilled nursing facility setting. The role focuses on implementing occupational therapy treatment plans to improve functional independence for both short-term and long-term residents. Effective communication with the interdisciplinary care team and adherence to facility policies and regulatory standards are essential. Responsibilities:

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans for short-term and long-term residents.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with the supervising Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary care team.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, Medicare guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in Net Health according to facility standards.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license.
• Strong documentation and time-management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in skilled nursing facilities (SNF).
• Mentorship available for candidates with 0-1 year of experience.

Special Considerations:

• Must maintain compliance with Medicare and regulatory guidelines.
• Work within a dynamic skilled nursing facility environment.

Scheduling:

• Preference for Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday schedules.
• Shift patterns may be flexible to meet facility needs.
