Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, this role is responsible for ensuring service excellence, resource optimization, and profitability across multiple locations. The Regional Operations Director manages a team of skilled professionals, including Field Service Technicians, Supervisors, and Project Managers, driving the achievement of business objectives through collaboration, process improvement, and fostering a culture of safety and excellence./pulliLeadership Strategy: ulliProvide high-level oversight and strategic leadership for regional service delivery./liliManage resource allocation, including personnel, tools, and equipment, to optimize operational performance./liliProvide technical guidance and support to teams as needed, addressing challenges and ensuring adherence to quality standards./liliWhen applicable, ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), and maintain positive relationships with union representatives as needed./li/ul/liliFinancial Oversight: ulliOwn PL accountability for the region, driving revenue growth and cost control while achieving targeted gross margins./liliDevelop and manage regional budgets, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and operational needs./liliMonitor and analyze financial performance metrics, using insights to identify areas for improvement and inform decision-making./li/ul/liliProcess Improvement Reporting: ulliIdentify and implement operational improvements, leveraging technology and best practices to streamline workflows and enhance productivity./liliEstablish metrics and KPIs to monitor performance, preparing detailed reports for senior leadership./liliDevelop and implement new processes and systems to enhance organizational efficiency and service delivery./liliSupport business growth initiatives, including expansion into new markets and development of new operational locations./li/ul/liliTeam Development Performance Management: ulliRecruit, train, and retain top talent to ensure the region is equipped to meet current and future needs./liliConduct regular performance evaluations, providing coaching, feedback, and relationships with clients, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction with service delivery./liliCollaborate cross-functionally to meet client needs, resolve issues, and drive customer-focused outcomes./li/ul/liliCross-Functional Leadership: ulliPartner closely with Sales, HR, Finance, and executive leadership to align operational execution with business objectives./liliSupport contract review, vendor approvals, and job-level financial and operational decision-making in alignment with leadership guidance./liliFacilitate coordination between field operations, sales, and administrative functions to ensure seamless service delivery./li/ul/liliAdditional Duties: ulliPerform other related duties as assigned to support business needs./liliContinuously seek opportunities for professional development, process improvement, and contribute to team-wide learning and growth./li/ul/li/ulpQualifications and Competencies:/pulli10+ years of experience in electrical testing, commissioning, and industrial services, including 5+ years in a leadership role./liliProven success in managing multi-site operations with PL accountability and delivering on financial targets./liliExtensive experience in project management, resource allocation, and team leadership./liliExperience leading operations across multiple locations or regions./liliExperience supporting business expansion, scaling operations, or establishing new locations preferred./liliStrategic thinker with exceptional decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills./liliStrong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams./liliAdvanced knowledge of industrial safety protocols and regulatory compliance./liliProficient in financial management, including revenue forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis./liliSkilled in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software/liliValid drivers license required; must be able to operate a company or personal vehicle for business purposes and meet all applicable company and client screening requirements based on job duties (e.g., motor vehicle record, background check, drug testing, or other applicable screenings)./li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulliExperience working with unionized teams and ensuring compliance with CBAs; strongly preferred and may be required depending on the region or company assignment./liliBachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field./liliProfessional Engineering License (PE) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP)
