Gateway Regional Medical Center is looking for a part-time Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health Services team on days. You'll provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients facing mental health and substance use challenges - assessing needs, developing individualized care plans, and partnering with an interdisciplinary team to support holistic healing in a safe, therapeutic environment.

This is a great fit for a nurse who's drawn to behavioral health and wants meaningful, hands-on work with the flexibility of a part-time schedule.

What You'll Do

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans
• Administer medications and implement treatment plans
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, coordinated care
• Educate and support patients and families throughout treatment
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff

What You Bring

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current Illinois RN license
• Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Willingness to complete Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) training within 1 month of hire
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and de-escalation skills
• Previous clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply
