Responsibilities

• Deliver OB/GYN nursing care through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery, maintaining patient safety and comfort.
• Monitor maternal and neonatal status, including vitals, fetal heart rate tracing, and progress notes; respond promptly to changes.
• Assume responsibility for recovery in Labor and Delivery and assist with cesarean deliveries, including catching a newborn as needed.
• Administer prescribed medications, manage pain relief, and support anesthesia teams during procedures with careful attention to aseptic technique.
• Collaborate with the obstetric, surgical, and anesthesia teams; promote patient education, discharge planning, and family support.
• Ensure accurate documentation, charting, and adherence to infection control and safety protocols in a high-acuity obstetric setting.

Requirements

• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Must be able to take over recovery in Labor and Delivery and assist with cesarean section
• Availability for a 13-week travel assignment starting 07/06/2026
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced obstetric environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
