Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and medical/surgical conditions in an inpatient rehab setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, and functional independence
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and nursing staff
- Document patient progress in Meditech EMR and adjust care plans as needed
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety techniques
Qualifications
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Licensed Physical Therapist in Florida or compact eligible
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in acute care, inpatient rehab, or SNF
- DPT degree preferred but not required
- Strong critical thinking and time management skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in Meditech EMR
- Experience with treatment modalities such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and gait training
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
