Day in the Life

Your shift begins by reviewing the scheduled job list provided by your supervisor. You clock into the first assignment, load a precision component between centers, and begin a multi-tool setup on a Kellenberger Kel-Vista using conversational CNC programming. Later, you switch to the Kellenberger Kel-Vita to take advantage of its non-round grinding capability, then move to the Jones & Shipman CNC grinder for a between-centers finish pass. Throughout each step, you collaborate with Quality Assurance technicians for critical inspections, handle every customer part with extraordinary care to minimize scrap, and clock out of the job to accurately record time before moving on to the next task. Your mindset is constant: quality and efficiency above all.
