The Engineering Team at Pride Health / Russell Tobin is hiring Analytical Chemist for a world-class Multinational company in the food, agriculture, nutrition , and commodities trading industry. near DAYTON, OH.

Title: Analytical Chemist

Duration: 12 Months assignment (Possible scope to extend depending on performance and/or budget)

Location: DAYTON, OH 45414

Pay Rate Range: $25/hour - $29/hour depending on experience

Client Note:

• 12-hour shifts (7AM-7PM and 7PM to 7AM) rotate from day to night every 4 weeks. 2-2-3 schedule (M T, F Sat Sun, W Thu)
• Look for candidates with a bachelor’s degree in science

Job Description:

• Chemist 1 will ensure that products meet or exceed customer requirements for quality and food safety, as well as develop an in-depth understanding of specific systems.
• The success of the Chemist position is measured in local impact to customer happiness, minimization or process variation, process recovery realization, waste reduction, cost minimization, and ability to act as a specialist backup.
• Assess quality parameters and systems including cross-checks, raw materials, calibration, maintenance, procedures, food safety, training, auditing, and oversight of analytical testing performed in control rooms.
• Provide process improvement support, specialized testing, training, audit systems, analyze data, identify trends, troubleshoot, corrective action, and communication regarding processing data, final product, and wastewater.
• Maintain and coordinate the chemist technician partnership and training systems.
• Approve final production and assurance of compliance to customer specifications.
• Handle customer audits, initiatives, and follow-ups.
• Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
