Two to four years related experience or equivalentKnowledge of computer HVAC and BAS systems and cleaning procedures.Working knowledge of mechanical systems and building trades.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively and efficiently with all departments, administration and across departmental boundariesExperience in leading a teamAbility to work independently and as a team with minimal direction to resolve issuesStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to communicate, read and write in English and perform basic mathComputer skills including but not limited to: Microsoft office or other office productivity software and the ability to use specialty softwareAbility to operate industrial-rated cleaning equipmentAbility to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, and walk for extended periods of timeMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to work on ladders, scaffolding and scissor liftAbility to push/pull 100 poundsAbility to work in inclement weatherProject coordination and time management skillsMust be able to work with frequent distractionsDuties and ResponsibilitiesSelects, supervises and evaluates all custodial, maintenance and grounds personnel assigned to the building.Train employees, resolve issues, and provide performance evaluationsIdentifies areas of improvement and provides appropriate training for custodial, maintenance and grounds personnel.Schedules and coordinates fire prevention, life/safety, environmental protection and energy conservation programs to maintain the safety and security of the building and site.Plans and implements preventative building maintenance and site improvement programs.Schedules and monitors all building usage, during the regular school day and after hours.Disclaimer: The following duties are normal for this position.
