Merrill Market Client Relationship Manager

Market Client Relationship Manager (MCRM) Lead the overall service delivery model and wealth management banking strategy for your market, driving business growth while ensuring regulatory, financial, operational, and reputational risk is minimized. You will partner with market leadership teams, financial advisors, clients, and support staff to deliver an outstanding, digitized client experience. Responsibilities Partner with market leadership, market executives, resident directors, financial advisors, client associates, and associates to facilitate daily business needs. Drive responsible growth and minimize regulatory, financial, operational, and reputational risks. Deliver firm strategy through the execution of Market Strategy Plans. Hire, develop, and lead a cross‑functional team supporting financial advisor teams and delivering outstanding client service. Supervise financial transactions and operations to ensure risk‑management best practices and compliance with policies and procedures, and prepare for branch audits. Oversee the client service experience and review approval of new client accounts. Lead Wealth Management Client Associates and the branch Operations Department to meet and exceed client service expectations and operational excellence goals. Coach teams to deliver a modern, digital‑first service model focusing on client satisfaction. Proactively identify opportunities to connect financial advisors and clients to the broader enterprise. Represent the office and Merrill with clients, prospects, financial advisor recruits, vendors, regulators, and outside counsel. Managerial Responsibilities Manage associates and the branch’s Wealth Management Client Associates and Service Support Staff. Ensure client service expectations are met and exceeded while balancing risk and exposure for Merrill. Maintain a culture of inclusivity aligned with company diversity and inclusion goals. Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management to motivate team members. Actively manage expenses and budgets in alignment with objectives. Drive innovation and continuous improvement through process knowledge and data‑based decision making. Required Qualifications Current or prior Merrill Wealth Management experience strongly preferred. Self‑motivated and client‑centric with strong management skills. Expert knowledge of regulatory and supervisory requirements, corporate policies and procedures. Investment product knowledge (401(k), options, annuities, tax, retirement plans, money funds, mutual funds, liabilities, margin, trust operations, etc.). Trend analysis experience. Strong customer service and communication skills. 5+ years of professional experience. Series licenses: SIE, Series 7 and Series 66 (or Series 63 and Series 65), Series 9 and Series 10 (or Series 8) or equivalent; Series 3 or 31 if warranted. Desired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Skills in compensation analysis, performance management, process performance management, referral management, workforce planning, due diligence, internal audit review, leadership development, recruiting, risk management, client management, customer service management, employee counseling, succession planning, trade operations management.
