Details Short term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds and Level II Trauma Center designation Med/Surg Tele unit caring for post-op patients including CABG, TAVR, general surgery, bariatric, and thoracic cases Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 0700-1930 Floating required as needed, which may include the Milford Campus Works every other weekend and rotates holidays per department needs Uses Epic for charting Patient ratio of 1:5 Requirements Active RN license (CT or Compact) currently in hand BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of experience required, though candidates with 1.5 years and Level I trauma or travel experience may be considered Telemetry experience required Experience with IV therapy, central/PICC line care, and blood product administration preferred Experience with chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and oxygen administration preferred Experience with cardiac drips, PCA, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management preferred Epic charting experience preferred Charge RN and teaching hospital experience preferred 1 professional reference required Additional Information Provide telemetry monitoring and post-surgical care for cardiovascular, bariatric, and thoracic patients Part of the Yale New Haven Health System Royal blue scrubs required Free parking available onsite First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates not accepted if residing within 75 miles of the facility Previous staff must be separated from permanent employment for 2 years before returning as a traveler Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted COVID vaccine and booster required except for religious or medical exemptions American Traveler Job ID P-772561.
