(NY is not Compact) Required Certifications: BLSREQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLSMust be able to take own patient assignment, with the support of an RN; Acute Care exp within the last 2 years Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Start/maintaining IVs High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Trach care/management Feeding tube care/management, Heparin Protocols, Pacemakers/Temp/Perm, Telemetry-on the unit monitoring Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac, MS/Tele, Ortho trauma, Total Joint Replacements, Surgical drainsUNIT DETAILS AND FLOATINGRatios: 1:5 6 Unit Details: Complex care unit for Medicine, ortho overflow and complex long term patients Floating: Will be required to float within skillset Scrub Color: Any combination of navy blue and whiteHOSPITAL HIGHLIGHTSRochester General Hospital is a 528-bed acute care teaching facility in Rochester, NY.
