Substance Abuse Counselor - Jacksboro, TN

Day in the Life of a Substance Abuse Counselor Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients. Conducts clinical assessments to appropriately assess patient’s treatment needs. Designs and updates the patient’s treatment plan, including care coordination, referrals, and discharge planning. Manages assigned caseload and compliance with clinical treatment requirements. Collaborates with nurses and providers to provide holistic treatment services. Facilitates urine drug screening for patients. Qualifications Master’s degree in counseling or a related field. Must be licensed in the state of TN as LMSW. Experience treating opioid‑addicted patients is preferred, not required. No legal impediments to serving in a licensed opiate treatment program. Must have a valid driver’s license. If recovering, three years of continuous verifiable abstinence is required. General experience working with underserved populations in a clinical setting. Lived addiction experience is a plus. Schedule and Hours Expected hours for this role are 37–40 hours per week. Monday: 9:00am – 4:00pm Tuesday: 9:00am – 3:00pm Wednesday: 9:00am – 4:00pm Thursday: 9:00am – 5:00pm Friday: 9:00am – 3:00pm Benefits Package Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance.
