Sales Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Sales Representative to join a growing organization specializing in custom industrial packaging solutions. This field-based role is responsible for developing new business and growing existing customer relationships throughout Southern California. We're looking for a true hunter who thrives on prospecting, cold calling, networking, and opening new accounts. The ideal candidate has experience selling industrial packaging products or related B2B solutions and enjoys helping customers solve operational challenges through consultative, solution-based selling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a strategic territory sales plan to drive revenue growth.
• Prospect, identify, and secure new business opportunities within the industrial packaging and distribution industries.
• Present and sell custom industrial packaging products and value-added solutions to prospective and existing customers.
• Generate new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, LinkedIn, and other business development activities.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through consultative selling.
• Conduct customer business reviews to identify growth opportunities and strengthen partnerships.
• Perform needs assessments and cost-benefit analyses to recommend customized packaging solutions.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and long-term supply agreements.
• Manage and grow an assigned book of business while consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Maintain an accurate CRM, sales pipeline, forecasts, and activity reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer service and timely delivery of solutions.
• Stay informed on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of outside B2B sales experience in industrial packaging, packaging products, industrial distribution, shipping supplies, or related industries.
• Proven success developing new business through prospecting, cold calling, and territory management.
• Experience managing customer accounts and growing long-term business relationships.
• Strong consultative, solution-based selling skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Self-motivated, competitive, organized, and results-driven.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to travel throughout the Southern California territory.

Preferred Experience:

• Candidates with experience selling products such as: Corrugated packaging, Protective packaging, Stretch film, Shrink packaging, Tape and adhesives, Foam packaging, Shipping supplies, Warehouse packaging products, Custom packaging solutions.
