Part‑time Help Hub Advisor (Retention Specialist) The Part‑time Help Hub Advisor supports student success through advising, transfer support, and outreach to improve retention. Responsibilities include advising continuing students, managing a caseload of Early Alerts, providing services in the Help Hub, and coordinating transfer advising and orientation. Responsibilities Advise continuing students and new students as needed. Manage a caseload of students resulting from Early Alerts and retention initiatives. Provide Help Hub services, transfer advising/fairs, and new student orientation. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and transfer partners to enhance student retention. Perform additional duties as assigned and assist in emergencies as required by state government. Qualifications Proven academic excellence and subject matter knowledge. Prior advising experience at a college or university preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with a focus on student success. Ability to use standard office software and student information systems; proficiency in PeopleSoft, Navigate, Canvas, and Microsoft Office preferred. Adapts quickly to new technologies. Flexibility to work a changing schedule including evenings, weekends and telework. Successful completion of a criminal background check required. Additional Considerations Experience teaching, presenting workshops, and/or advising in an academic setting highly desirable. Operation of a state vehicle: No. Required travel: May travel between campuses. Compensation Pay Band 03; $25.00 per hour; up to a maximum of 29 hours per week.
