Advanced Planning– Financial Planning ManagerAmeritas Agency and Advisor Distribution is seeking an Advanced Planning– Financial Planning Manager to lead the Financial Planning desk. This role reports to the Advanced Planning Director and oversees the Financial Planner and financial planning interns that support both senior planners and financial professionals in delivering case preparation and development of comprehensive financial plans for advanced planning cases involving business, retirement, estate, charitable and tax planning.This is a hybrid role in Lincoln, NE working partially in-office and partially from home. What you do:Manage and develop the financial planning interns, including overseeing their training toward readiness for financial professional roles post-graduationOversee data gathering and entry into financial planning software (eMoney, MoneyGuide, RightCapital, etc)Assist in building and reviewing financial plans involving cash flow, insurance, retirement, tax strategies, estate & charitable considerations towards long-term planning goalsEnsure accuracy and quality of plan outputs, charts and scenario analyses as plans are reviewed with financial professionalsWork with senior planners to increase adoption of financial planning in advisor practicesProvide case design consultation to field partners and home office associates across: insurance (life and disability income), annuities and retirement strategies, estate, charitable and business planningAssist in advanced case presentation and provide technical expertise on product strategiesTrack opportunities and maintain accurate case notes in SalesForce throughout the sales cycleMonitor workflow efficiency and recommend process improvement to enhance service deliveryCollaborate with internal teams and ensure planning strategies and recommendations alight with regulatory and company guidelinesWhat you bring:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required4-7 years of experience with financial planning, advanced planning, or insurance salesStrong knowledge of retirement, estate, charitable, business, and financial planning strategiesCLU and/or ChFC preferred; CFP preferred or working towards completionFINRA Series 6 or 7 and Series 65 or 66 requiredProficiency in financial planning and illustration softwareStrong analytical, communication and leadership skillsTravel: 10-15% as neededWhat we offer:A meaningful mission.
