Title
Registered Nurse - Medical Intensive Care Unit

Schedule
Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45-07:15)
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend; minimum 6 weekend shifts per contract

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years critical care RN experience
- Travel experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Charting experience with Epic

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients in a medical intensive care setting.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions through invasive hemodynamic monitoring.
- Administer medications and manage ventilators, including HFNC and BiPAP/CPAP as needed.
- Assist with procedures such as central line insertion, blood product administration, and chest tube management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care.
- Maintain infection control standards and perform assessments of infection risk, especially in immunosuppressed patients.

Compliance / Notes
- Flu vaccine is required (medical/religious exemptions allowed).
- Pre-start testing must be completed within 48 hours after signing.
- Orientation: 24 hours.
