Production Control Manager Support

Reporting Relationship

Reports to the Production Control Manager.

Purpose

To provide specific support to the Production Control Manager and administrative support as needed.

Authority

Negotiate with Customers of matters that affect DAC performance and ratings.

Associate has the authority to approve shipment requests as designee for Production Control Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

Work under the direction of the Production Control Manager to help provide correct forecasts.

Provide departments with necessary schedules as directed by Production Control Manager.

Communicate with customer as needed.

Maintain proper inventory levels through timely ordering/releases.

Work closely with production departments on production control issues which will allow them to more efficiently meet their needs.

Keep accurate records of inventory either manually or computerized.

Expedites materials on an as required basis.

Responsible for analyzing MRP requirements, and change P.O.'s accordingly.

Perform other job duties as assigned by supervisor.

Timely preparation of reports and production schedules.

Teamwork in supporting other departments/office personnel.

Supervisor Responsibility

This position supervises the Human Resources Assistant and Human Resources Coordinator. This position provides training, guidance, and disciplinary action to the Human Resources Assistant and Human Resources Coordinator.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Previous computer experience, preferably PC and mainframe.

Must have three years' experience in a production control environment.

An associate's degree in production management preferred.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Excellent math aptitude.

Detail oriented.

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.

Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position regularly requires extended hours and possible weekend work.

Travel

Local travel to various worksites is required.
