Inventory Control Technician

Our Inventory Control Technician plays a vital role within our organization. Once you complete our training, your responsibilities will include providing support to warehouse operations from material flow tracking through to site purchasing activities that facilitate having the required inventory and non-inventory items available when needed to meet demand. This position will also work closely with demand planning, sourcing, purchasing, incoming quality and warehouse operations to ensure the timely availability of materials required to support the firm weekly schedule for kitting, formulation, filling, label printing, labeling, and packaging. It is a set, consistent schedule with minimum overtime requirements and is based at our Sugar Land, TX location. This is a safety‑sensitive position that may be subject to random drug testing, in accordance with applicable laws. What the Inventory Control Technician Does Each Day: Assists with indirect supply Kanban levels and site usage requirements; submit requisitions for supply orders to the Purchasing department Works closely with Planning and Purchasing on projections and forecasting to ensure sufficient on hand inventory Performs weekly audits of Infor picking transactions Performs weekly cycle counting of select raw materials, adjust Infor to reflect any variances, and provide counts for raw materials requested by various departments for order requisitioning Assists with inventory discrepancies/investigations and reports findings to Finance Monitors inventory to reduce waste, prevent production schedule changes/shortages/stoppages Works in collaboration with leaders on cycle counts; monthly, quarterly, and annually Tracks and monitors raw material expiration dates Reviews and escalates transactional errors for correction Works with the finance team on cycle counting and communication of transactional analysis Assists in team meetings and training to support transactional accuracy Tracks incoming deliveries and works with the Purchasing team to provide delivery updates to the Warehouse regarding large incoming shipments, controlled substance deliveries, and other deliveries that require special or additional receiving processing Communicates and arranges site-to-site transfers as needed Identifies excess inventory and assists with material return to vendors as needed Our Most Successful Inventory Control Technicians: Have excellent written and verbal communication skills Prioritize, handle, and track multiple assignments Collaborate in a team environment Minimum Requirements for this Role: High School Diploma 1+ years’ experience in Supply Chain or other relevant work experience 18+ years of age Able to successfully complete a drug and background check Able and willing to walk, stoop, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs during each shift, with or without reasonable accommodation Analytical and system proficiency with abilities to apply outcomes of analyses Proficiency using MS Office applications, including Word and Excel Experience and proficiency using an ERP system such as INFOR Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis; QuVa is not able to sponsor applicants for work visas Any of the Following Will Give You an Edge: Associate degree in supply chain, business, or related field Experience in inventory management and reduction related projects such as establishing Kanbans, VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory), and cycle counting Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint) Basic understanding of accounting concepts QuVa is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating and maintaining a work environment that is free from all forms of discrimination and harassment.
