As a Tax Staff member you will work under the supervision of senior professionals, build tax knowledge, and contribute to client solutions. Role Overview As a Tax Staff at Cherry Bekaert, you will: Engage and serve clients from various industries. Communicate with project in‑charges and clients. Develop tax knowledge while preparing basic and intermediate individual tax returns. Prepare federal and multi‑state corporate tax returns and basic partnership returns. Research fundamental tax issues using online tools. Prepare and organize workpapers for client files. Perform other essential duties as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. Master's degree preferred. CPA certified or eligibility to obtain a CPA license. Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above preferred. Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software. Ability to travel to client sites, including frequent same‑day and occasional out‑of‑town trips. Ability to work moderate overtime throughout the year, with heavier overtime during business cycles. Eligibility to work in the United States; no work sponsorship provided.
