Title: Porter - Team Member Wage $18-$20 an hour Team Members are responsible for exhibiting a friendly and enthusiastic attitude while performing job assignments, caring for guests and fellow Team Members, and maintaining the company’s operational quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards. A qualified candidate should be able to learn in a fast-paced environment, have reliable transportation, and project a professional appearance and a positive attitude at all times while on company property and while representing the brand at brand events or while in uniform. As a Porter - Team Member, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests have a clean and welcoming environment to enjoy their meal and assist in food safety procedures as requested. Benefits Daily half off meal for you and a guest Bi-Weekly Paycheck Flexible scheduling Career Development and Growth Opportunities Whataburger Family Foundation and Scholarship Program Job Summary Greet guests with enthusiasm and provide exceptional hospitality Maintain a clean work environment following safety and sanitation guidelines Perform detail cleaning of lobby, restrooms, outside area, and back of house Scrub parking lots Clean vents and hoods Deep clean ceiling, walls, windows, floors, equipment Clean dumpster area Assist in restocking as needed Assist with putting away food orders and follow FIFO Take food temperatures per guidelines when receiving orders Communicate any safety and security problems to the manager Follow company guidelines and procedures Follow the porter cleaning program Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested. Requirements Friendly and outgoing personality Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends Strong attention to detail Positive attitude and willingness to learn Excellent communication and organizational skills Familiarity with restaurant sanitation and safety regulations Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment Problem-solving and conflict management abilities A willingness to learn and to grow with the company Preferred availability for weekends and holidays Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand during entire shift Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, lift, shake, stir, pour, carry, and push Must be able to read (orders on tickets, menu board, receipts, etc.) Frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, cleaning and sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood, and produce items Frequent washing of hands About Us Whataburger is more than a burger chain.
