Our organization is on the lookout for passionate Physicians to join our Neurohospitalist Division for an exciting opportunity!
This full-time faculty role will focus primarily on inpatient general neurology (excluding stroke cases) within our health system located in New York City. You will deliver exceptional care to patients facing a wide array of complex neurological disorders and the neurological aspects of systemic illnesses. This position presents numerous opportunities, including collaboration with outstanding neurological and neurosurgical specialists, involvement in a comprehensive QA/PI program, and participation in the education of trainees. Additionally, you will have the chance to enhance the integration of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) into our service lines. The Neurohospitalist Division is a rapidly expanding and dynamic environment where creativity, teamwork, and motivation are highly valued. Depending on your specialization and interests, this role may also encompass a blend of outpatient clinical responsibilities and procedures, such as involvement in teaching clinics. Weekend coverage will include a combination of in-person and teleneurology services across various locations.
The selected candidate will be appointed as an Assistant Professor (or a higher rank based on experience) in the Department of Neurology at the esteemed Icahn School of Medicine. Our Department is dedicated to holistic patient care, emphasizing a patient-centered approach that aligns with the mission of the Icahn School of Medicine, focusing on an integrative model for patient care, research, and education. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills and a keen interest in inpatient general neurology consultations. Our newly established, systemwide Neurohospitalist Division is working on setting practice standards, metrics, and protocols to enhance the quality of inpatient neurology care throughout the health system, collaborating with NeuroCritical Care, Stroke, Epilepsy, and other relevant services, while leveraging information technology to improve care quality and safety. The successful candidate will contribute to the Department's Neurohospitalist Division and should aim to establish a reputation for excellence in clinical care while fostering strong teamwork with colleagues across various hospitals and services. There will also be opportunities to teach neurology residents and medical students during electives from our ACGME-accredited adult neurology residency programs.

Position Requirements:
Medical Degree from an accredited institution.
Active New York Medical License and NYS DEA registration.
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology.

Compensation ranges from $200,000 to $320,000 (excluding bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits).
