About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years required License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS required; CPI preferred Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred; Charting system experience required Description: Position available for a Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical/Telemetry specialty. Shifts are scheduled for nights from 19:00 to 07:30. No call required during this position. Every other weekend coverage is expected. Floating may occur to similar acuity settings. Patient ratios are 1:5. Candidates must have 2 years of experience in a relevant setting. First-time travelers are accepted. Certifications required include ACLS and BLS, with CPI preferred. Travelers must live at least 50 miles away from the facility. Scrub color is any. Charting will be done using a specified electronic health record system. Covid-19 and flu vaccinations are required, with medical or religious exemptions considered. Candidates should possess skills in various clinical procedures, including but not limited to blood product administration, managing dysrhythmias, and telemetry monitoring. Experience in administering chemotherapy and managing tracheostomy care is preferred. The unit will care for adult and geriatric populations with various diagnoses such as COPD, pneumonia, and dehydration. Daily census is approximately 4 patients with a total of 25 beds available. Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Radiology. Travelers are expected to complete required training modules prior to their start. Candidates who have returned after a three-year absence may reapply. Professional conduct is imperative; any issues may result in contract termination.
