Target Position Deputy Associate Director, Community Banking Organization (CBO) – Division of Supervision & Regulation (R025723) Key Details Primary Location: Washington, DC Employee Status: Regular Overtime Status: Exempt Job Type: Standard Work Shift: 1st Shift Relocation Provided: Yes Compensation Grade: FR PAY GRADE D2 Salary Range: $265,900.00 – $327,200.00 Summary Reporting to the Deputy Director of Supervision, the Deputy Associate Director of Community Banking Organization serves as the strategic leader of the CBO portfolio, the single point of contact for Board and Reserve Bank senior leaders, and the manager of CBO portfolio operations and execution. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Serve as the CBO portfolio’s strategic leader and single point of contact for Board and Reserve Bank senior leaders. Set and manage execution of the CBO portfolio supervisory strategy, ensuring consistency with the division’s overall supervisory priorities. Monitor execution of the CBO supervision program and promote consistency across the System. Manage CBO portfolio operations, including resource and financial management. Coordinate portfolio monitoring and reporting. Engage collaboratively with Reserve Bank staff and leadership on problem‑bank and non‑routine supervisory matters and decisions, bringing stakeholders together for discussions and vetting. Escalate key supervisory matters, concerns, and decisions to the Deputy Director for Supervision. Engage regularly with the Global Systemically Important Banks, Large & Foreign Banking Organizations, Regional & Foreign Banking Organizations, and Significant Service Providers portfolio directors to ensure strong coordination and consistency, particularly on the transition of institutions across portfolios. Manage CBO portfolio interagency coordination consistent with overall interagency efforts. Support Board matters requiring a CBO perspective, including Governor briefings, meeting preparation, speech support, Congressional inquiries, and other public‑affairs matters. Represent the Federal Reserve at internal and external speaking engagements, interagency meetings, Congressional briefings, and other outreach events on CBO supervision and related topics. Minimum Qualifications Minimum seven years of experience leading people, including setting strategy, establishing aligned performance expectations, providing clear and actionable feedback, and developing staff. Five or more years of demonstrated bank supervisory experience; experience as a commissioned field examiner or in the planning of banking activities is preferred. Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, International Affairs, Public Policy, Economics, or equivalent experience. Minimum management experience: 7 years.
