Overview

Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting oral health. Duties

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments using advanced dental equipment.
• Perform laser assisted SRP treatments as well as perio-maintenance cleanings
• Assess patient oral health by examining teeth, gums, and oral tissues; document findings accurately in electronic health records (Open Dental Software).
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while ensuring proper aseptic techniques and infection control protocols are followed. (Sidexis)
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health.
• Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside assisting, managing dental instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment.
• Review medical histories, update medical records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Manage infection prevention measures by adhering to healthcare infection control standards and maintaining sterilization of dental tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental cleanings and radiography

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
