Medical Assistant
Location: Lakeland, FL
Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
The Medical Assistant will support both front-office and back-office operations in a healthcare setting. Responsibilities include patient intake, scheduling, clinical support, phlebotomy, assisting Radiology Technologists, and supporting daily clinic operations. The successful candidate will maintain a collaborative relationship with center staff and contribute to a patient-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities- Greet patients and provide a welcoming experience.
- Room patients and prepare them for examinations.
- Schedule appointments and assist with patient coordination.
- Answer phones and provide front-office administrative support.
- Obtain and document patient vital signs.
- Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures.
- Administer vaccines as directed by clinical staff.
- Provide clinical and administrative support to Radiology Technologists.
- Assist with additional clinical duties as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient information and documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Communate effectively with patients, providers, and healthcare staff.
- Collaborate with center staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Support health education and outreach initiatives.
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience, excluding externship experience.
- Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred.
- Radiology Technologist experience or related clinical support experience required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred/required.
- Phlebotomy and venipuncture experience required.
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to work effectively in both front-office and back-office environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Radiology Technologists and other clinical staff.
