Axos BankTarget Range:$185,000.00/Yr. - $200,000.00/Yr.Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.About This JobThe FVP, Compliance Officer is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the Bank’s Compliance Management System (CMS) and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role provides leadership and subject matter expertise across key compliance functions, including compliance reviews, loan-level documentation and transactional testing, regulatory change management, risk assessments, issue and complaint management, third-party service provider oversight, and data-driven compliance monitoring. The FVP partners closely with business leaders to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risk while promoting a strong culture of compliance throughout the organization.Responsibilities:Lead and enhance the Bank’s Compliance Management System (CMS) and Quality Control programs across lending and deposit products, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, investor requirements, and regulatory guidanceOversee compliance reviews, loan-level documentation reviews, transactional testing, risk assessments, issue management, complaint management, policy administration, third-party oversight, new product and service reviews, second-line approvals, and regulatory change managementDevelop and maintain compliance-related policies, management directives, and governance materials for executive and Board-level committees; serve as a member of the Compliance Management Committee and support enterprise-wide strategic initiativesDrive continuous improvement efforts to strengthen the Bank’s compliance and quality control framework, processes, and monitoring activitiesMonitor, analyze, and communicate regulatory developments and compliance risks to senior leadership, ensuring timely updates to policies, procedures, forms, and training programsProvide compliance guidance for new or revised products, services, systems, and business initiatives, collaborating with legal counsel, regulators, vendors, and industry organizations as neededPartner with business line leaders to promote effective compliance risk management and ensure appropriate resources and controls are in place across the organizationSupport compliance audits and regulatory examinations, including planning, coordination of information requests, management responses, and remediation activitiesQualifications:​Bachelor's degree preferably in business or related area and equivalent business experience10+ years' work experience in banking/mortgage banking/audit/regulatory complianceSubject matter expert of all banking regulatory, audit and compliance programs for deposit & lending compliance as it relates to federally regulated banksSubject matter expert of GSE requirements, credit requirements, investor guidelines, regulatory compliance knowledge.Subject matter expert calculating income and determining ability to repayMust be flexible, able to work on multiple projects that may require restructuring due to shifting demands and changing priorities within a multi-billion dollar bankAbility to identify and define problems with documentation, loan origination systems, internal processes and procedures; research and analyze information and various situations relating to data management issuesMust be able to recommend alternatives or solutionsStrong verbal and written communication skills including presentation skillsAbility to effectively lead multiple divisions within the BankThinking outside the box problem resolutionsMicrosoft Office products (WORD, EXCEL, VISIO, PowerPoint)Axos Employee Benefits May Include:Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life InsurancePaid Sick Leave, 3 weeks’ Vacation, and Holidays (about 11 a year)HSA or FSA account and other voluntary benefits401(k) Retirement Saving Plan with Employer Match Program and 529 Savings PlanEmployee Mortgage Loan Program and free access to an Axos Bank Account with Self-Directed TradingAbout AxosBorn digital-first, Axos delivers financial tools and services that allow individuals, small businesses, and companies to access and manage their money how, when, and where they want.
