Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist | US Heart and Vascular | Orion MedicalOrion Medical is in search of a Full-Time Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team in Houston, Texas. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced Nuclear Medicine professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care while supporting and guiding a high-performing imaging team.Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinates and leads staff performing nuclear medicine procedures, including SPECT and PET imaging studies.Trains, advises, and provides technical expertise and support to Nuclear Medicine Technologists.Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.Operates and maintains nuclear medicine imaging equipment, including gamma cameras, PET scanners, and dose calibrators.Performs routine quality control and maintenance checks on imaging equipment.Explains procedures to patients, addresses concerns, and ensures patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.Positions patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.Assists physicians by analyzing imaging results and providing preliminary findings when appropriate.Adheres to radiation safety standards and regulatory requirements to protect patients and staff.Maintains accurate documentation of imaging procedures, patient information, and radiopharmaceutical use.Collaborates effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and leadership to support excellent patient outcomes.Provides excellent customer service and the highest quality patient care.Actively demonstrates teamwork.Always adheres to company safety standards.Other duties as requested or assigned.Qualifications:Associate degree in a related field.ARRT or NMTCB certification in Nuclear Medicine required; state licensure as required.Minimum of four years of Nuclear Medicine experience required.Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.Cardiology experience preferred.Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiologic Technology, or related field preferred.Current valid driver's license and required minimum auto insurance coverage.About the Position:Full-TimeMonday – FridayNo weekendsNo callLeadership opportunity within a growing cardiovascular practiceAbout Houston, TX:Houston is a diverse city with a booming job market in energy, healthcare, and tech.
