You will be responsible for leading, planning, organizing, and executing events for the community, the Artisan Club, brokers and prospective buyers, and Cotino Bay Beach, Dining and Shops. This role acts as the primary point of contact for private event clients, partners, vendors and service providers through the event planning process and onsite event experience. The Event Sales & Services Manager engages with sales, residents, club members and guests who are interested in hosting private events across Cotino. A high level of guest service is expected, as is a collaboration, organization, communication and the ability to juggle multiple tasks. This on-site role based in Palm Desert, CA will report to the Manager of Events & Entertainment. Responsibilities oThis position is responsible for the planning, organization, and execution of Disney-produced and private events for Cotino community, Artisan Club and Cotino Bay Beach, Dining and Shops, and will provide support for sales events for brokers and potential homeowners as needed. oManage all stages of event cycle including inquiries, create proposals, host site visits, complete contracts and Banquet Event Orders, plan logistics with vendors and partners, and serve as point of contact at event. oProvide mentorship and guidance to the Event Coordinator in their day-to-day responsibilities and provide support where needed. oDemonstrated strong Guest Service skills. Ability to consistently seek out innovative ways to surprise and delight clients and guests and drive repeat business. oPresent ideas, expectations and accurate information in a concise, well-organized manner. oAbility to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and vendors, with the skill to utilize resources and influence partners to provide client solutions. oCreative problem solver able to service groups with high level of complexity. oAbility to work with technology to manage function space, event orders, invitations, RSVPs, event setup diagrams etc. oEnsure guest-facing event environments reflect Disney-quality presentation, storytelling standards, and brand expectations. oSupport alignment between event operations and sales priorities to ensure activations support business objectives. oSupport budget tracking, invoice coordination, operational recaps, post-event reviews, and continuous improvement follow-up. oCollaborate with Sales leadership to support event execution, including event content, frequency, and refinements, and attend sales meetings as appropriate to discuss event feedback. oUnderstanding of food and beverage, production and event elements. oExcellent planning skills that enable managing multiple projects with varying priorities and deadlines. oFlexibility in scheduling is critical; events and planning activities may take place seven days a week and at non-traditional business hours. Basic Qualifications oExperience working in an event, production, entertainment, or a catering planning environment oMinimum of 2 years management experience in a hospitality environment oDemonstrated strong Guest service skills oDemonstrate verbal and written communication skills, as well as telephone etiquette skills oAbility to develop and maintain a positive working relationship with cast members, clients, and operating areas oAbility to collaborate with others to move the operation forward to the next level of excellence oProficiency in basic computer functions necessary to operate in a Windows environment and event support technologies oDemonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail oFlexibility with work schedule, including weekends and holidays Preferred Qualifications oExperience working at a club, luxury property, or hotel in a leadership capacity oWillingness to learn new applications and lines of businesses as necessary oDemonstrated ability to work independently oCurrent or former work experience with The Walt Disney Company The hiring range for this position is $76,800.00-$102,900.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
