• Floating: May be expected to float between nearby sister facilities

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required
• Experience in a community hospital or acute care hospital setting required
• Epic charting experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
• Experience caring for adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
• Comfort managing common emergency presentations including stroke, STEMI, chest pain, trauma, shortness of breath, asthma, abdominal pain, and lacerations
• Strong skills in triage, dysrhythmia management, IV vasopressors, central line care, and ventilated patient support

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a busy, high-acuity emergency department
• Perform triage, assess patients rapidly, and prioritize care based on acuity
• Support patients with stroke, STEMI, trauma, respiratory distress, and other urgent conditions
• Monitor telemetry and manage dysrhythmias in collaboration with the care team
• Administer treatments, medications, and interventions according to established protocols
• Care for patients requiring isolation precautions, IV vasopressors, BiPAP/CPAP, and ventilator support
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and support safe, efficient patient flow throughout the unit
