PROJECT MANAGER Department: Build It Direct Supervisor: Division Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

• Maintain cost and contract control, including managing job cost and change orders, understanding contract language and risk, preparing pay applications, processing budget adjustments, supporting monthly project status reporting, and understanding insurance and bonding requirements.
• Create and maintain a monthly CPM schedule, including identifying recovery tactics and schedule improvements.
• Lead the buyout process by developing subcontract agreements and purchase orders; manage procurement and document control.
• Conduct weekly project staff, subcontractor, and/or Owner meetings to review critical project information.
• Ensure safety and quality control are built into all project planning and executed consistently in the field.
• Participate in or lead the preconstruction process, including preparing estimates, developing bid packages, conducting subcontractor/supplier outreach, executing bid-day analysis, and engaging in bid teams.
• Support business development efforts by participating in proposals, interviews, networking, and relationship-building within the construction community.
• Lead and develop project staff through mentorship, training, and cultivating accountability across the team.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 5+ years of experience supervising commercial construction projects.
• Four-year degree in construction or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read and understand project plans, specifications, and contracts.
• Ability to understand labor, material, and subcontract costs, and analyze reports for effective project management.
• Preferred experience with:
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Procore
  • Bluebeam
  • ASTA Powerproject
  • SketchUp
  • AutoCAD

CERTIFICATES & LICENSES

• Montana SWPPP certification encouraged
• OSHA 30 encouraged
• LEED GA or other LEED certification encouraged
• Lean certification encouraged
