- Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and senior demographics utilizing standardized assessment tools and observational techniques.
- Create tailored treatment plans aimed at addressing both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
- Deliver engaging, individualized speech therapy sessions that focus on various aspects such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, and family members to develop a unified care approach.
- Guide and educate patients and families to support progress outside clinical sessions.
- Support occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions in speech therapy, ensuring seamless care continuity throughout the treatment process.
- Maintain precise and timely records that comply with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers.
- Earned a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for those not yet ASHA-certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is to be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for all age groups, with a thorough knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges.
