Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 06/01/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you’ll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. Minimum Requirements: Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program. Current state license in good standing with the State License Board. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required. One year experience as an RRT in an acute care hospital setting preferred. Client requires experience with mechanical ventilators, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, and arterial blood gas sampling. BLS certification required. ACLS preferred. Experience performing airway management (endotracheal intubation, tracheostomy care) and suctioning techniques. Competence with 12-lead EKG acquisition and basic arrhythmia recognition. Familiarity with pulmonary function testing and use of capnography and oximetry monitoring. Ability to operate and perform setup and self-tests on a variety of ventilatory equipment.
