Project Engineer / Project ManagerWe are hiring a Project Engineer / Project Manager to lead the execution of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for managing subcontractors, budgets, schedules, and daily operations while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.You will work closely with internal teams including preconstruction, finance, safety, and operations, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors.Must-Haves (Top Requirements)3–5+ years of experience in construction project managementProven experience with Design-Build projectsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)Strong ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and subcontractorsExperience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and cost trackingAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsStrong client-facing communication and leadership skillsProven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesKey ResponsibilitiesPre-Construction PhaseReview project scope, staffing needs, scheduling, and construction methodsAssist with bid packages, subcontractor selection, and cost reviewsIdentify long-lead items and establish procurement prioritiesDevelop and refine project schedules and logistics plansLead constructability reviews with field and operations teamsCoordinate with Owners and Architects on project requirements and timelinesEstablish billing procedures, submittal processes, and project controlsConduct pre-construction meetings with subcontractorsConstruction PhaseManage day-to-day project operations, subcontractors, and schedulesLead and facilitate progress meetings with clients and project teamsMonitor budget performance, cost tracking, and profitabilityOversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation flowTrack project progress and develop recovery plans when neededReview and approve subcontractor billings and vendor invoicesMaintain up-to-date drawings and project documentationEnforce safety standards and company policiesPrepare and distribute weekly reports and meeting minutesCloseout PhaseCoordinate final inspections and Certificate of OccupancyManage punch lists, warranty items, and project closeout documentationEnsure completion of as-built drawings and O&M manualsOversee final billing, retainage, and subcontractor closeoutConduct post-construction and warranty walkthroughsWhat You BringStrong knowledge of construction management principles and processesAbility to lead teams and drive project performanceExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skillsStrong organizational and time management abilitiesHigh level of attention to detail and accountabilityAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentWork EnvironmentCombination of office and active construction site environmentsFrequent exposure to job site conditions, equipment, and noiseTravel required based on project needsOccasional evenings or weekends to meet project deadlinesThis role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of projects and play a key role in delivering high-quality construction outcomes while driving schedule performance and profitability.
